COVID-19: The cold chain’s fight
The whole world has been hit by COVID-19 since December 2019, a pandemic that to this day has killed over 1.7 million victims and pushed many businesses to invest in addressing the ensuing emergency.
Since the beginning, Pluris has supplied and maintained medical devices to laboratories, hospitals, pharmacies, and other entities involved in the fight against the virus.
Among these devices figure the ultra-low-temperature freezers which have become necessary to adequately preserve the Pfizer – BioNtech vaccines that require a constant temperature of -86°C to retain their efficacy.
For months now Pluris has been working with leader players in the refrigeration sector on two main projects, an ultra-low-temperature freezer to store these vaccines and another one to transport them.
